It will be held in Kuala Lumpur and Sanghai in ensuing months The council has already started mobilisation campaign BHUBANESWAR: The Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), a body of engineering exporters, on Monday started scouting for possible companies those could participate in two exclusive engineering exhibitions in Kuala Lumpur and Sanghai in coming months. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, director of the EEPC eastern region Amita Pandey said the council had already started mobilisation campaign for participation in the exhibition. She said the EEPC had partnered with Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Orissa Limited (IPICOL) to look for eligible participants. “Both the exhibitions will help small and medium enterprises in exploring these two markets who find it difficult to get a foothold otherwise,” Ms Pandey said. During her visit to the State, she officials of IPICOL, Orissa Mining Corporation (OMC), Director of Industries, National Aluminum Company (NALCO) and aluminum major Hindalco. The small and medium enterprises whose annual turnover would be less than Rs. 15 crore were entitled to get Market Development Assistance grant under Focus ASEAN programme of Ministry of Commerce, she said. EEPC Regional Director said the exhibition in Kuala Lumpur would be held during September 25 to 27 at Putra World Trade Centre. “This is a major step forward to enter into the Malaysian market. The exhibition will be coincided with ASEAN International Woodworking Machinery Faire and SME International Trade Fair which are considered to be major events,” she said. Similarly, the council would organise INDEE – Sanghai from November 4 to 8.
