BHUBANESWAR: Here is good news for candidates of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) seeking admission into private medical colleges in Orissa. All the private medical colleges have received approval letters from Ministry of Health for going ahead with the admission for the next session. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) authorities had postponed the counselling process on July 12 for an indefinite period showing the reason that these colleges lacked government approval letter. “All the three private medical colleges received the approval letter for continuation of MBBS degree courses on Monday. However, the communication regarding permission for dental classes is yet to be received,” said Tirupati Panigrahi, president of the Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association (PMDCA) here. He said all the three colleges would formally communicate it to the State government about receiving of the letter on Tuesday. According to guidelines admissions into the medical colleges should have to be over by September 30. There are about 300 seats available for MBBS courses in the three medical colleges such as HiTech Medical College, Kalinga Institute of Medical Science (KIMS), Institute of Medical Science (IMS).
