ISKCON contests

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), as part of the Krishnashtami celebrations, is conducting inter-school and inter-college competitions to students on essay writing, elocution, spiritual group songs and classical music at SVS Kalyanamandapam, Benz Circle, from July 22 to 27. Posters highlighting the programme have been sent to over 600 schools and 100 colleges, said Vijayawada unit co-presidents Murali Mohan Das and Ram Murai Das. The winners will be awarded books and certificates at a function to be held at Government College of Music and Dance on August 23.
