Journalist killed in road accident

Hyderabad: Abdul Rasheed, 38, a senior journalist of Hindi Milap daily, was killed when a lorry hit his bike from behind at M.J. Market while he was returning home in the early hours of Monday. The deputy chief sub-editor left his office on his motorcycle around 3 a.m. for his house in Shibligunj of Hussainialam.
After hitting the bike, the lorry driver sped away towards Jambagh. Two passers-by chased the lorry in their Scorpio vehicle, caught the driver, Mohd. Khaleel, and handed over him to the police. The Hyderabad Union of Journalists mourned the senior journalist’s death. The union conveyed its heartfelt condolences to his family members.
