Lorry runs over cyclist, motorcyclist

HYDERABAD: A software engineer riding a bike and a cyclist, who fell on the road after colliding head on, were run over by a speeding lorry at Bahadurpura crossroads on Monday.

The engineer and cyclist were later identified as Sk. Mehdi, 36, and Ilyas Ahmedi, 18, the police said.

The motorcyclist hit the oncoming cyclist near the junction and both of them fell and sustained minor injuries.

Even before they could rise, the speeding lorry that came from behind crushed them, the police said.
