Kozhikode: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said here on Tuesday that the government would extend all possible help to the family of James Augustine, headmaster of a primary school who died following violence against a cluster teachers’ meeting in Malappuram last week. He was talking to reporters after visiting the family of the teacher at his residence at Thottumukkam near here. “The Assembly will consider this matter on Wednesday,” said Mr. Achuthanandan. He also said that a memorandum requesting the government to bear the educational expense of his children would also be considered by the Assembly on Wednesday. The Chief Minister consoled the family members of Augustine, including his father Augustine, mother Elikutty, wife Marykutty and children Nikhil and Neetha. George M. Thomas, MLA; District Collector A. Jayatilak; and Vadakara Superintendent of Police L. Natarajan; were present.
