Goonda attack: four constables injured
KARIMBA (PALAKKAD): Four constables of the Mannarkkad police station sustained injuries as they were allegedly attacked by a goonda when they tried to arrest him at Karimba for attacking shops and shop owners on Tuesday. The police said the constables reached Pallippadi at Karimba on Tuesday afternoon acting on a complaint from three shops owners that Faizal attacked them when they refused to give in to his demand for money. He attacked the police party when they tried to arrest him. In the attack, Radhakrishnan, head constable at the Mannarkkad police station, and constables Vinod, Shyam Kumar and Vinu were injured.
The police later arrested Faizal.
