PUCL condemns killing of activist

MALAPPURAM: The People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) has condemned the killing of rights activist and Karnataka coordinator of the National Alliance of People’s Movements (NAPM) A.D. Babu.

He was killed by a group of people at Mayanagram while on his way to attend a public function at Ramnagaram on Monday.

The State committee of the PUCL said that Babu, who had opposed the Karnataka government’s anti-people policies, was a victim of the government’s unholy nexus with the mafia.
