Suspected naxals vandalise shed

CHIKMAGALUR: Suspected naxalites vandalised an uninhabited shed belonging to the Forest Department at Manikyabetta, about 8 km from Kerekatte, in Sringeri taluk. The incident is said to have taken place on Monday night and was discovered by Forest Department personnel on Tuesday. The tiles of the shed were broken and furniture damaged. Slogans criticizing the “communal Government” in the State were scrawled on the walls.

The police have registered a complaint lodged by the Forest Department.
