1,851 group houses to be constructed

KARUR: A total of 1,851 group houses would be constructed under Indira Awas Yojana in the district at a cost of Rs. 10.18 crore during the current year, said Collector T.N. Venkatesh.
A total of 170 houses were being constructed in Karur panchayat union, 284 houses in Thanthoni union, 272 houses in K. Paramathi union, 143 in Aravakurichi union, 158 in Kulithalai union, 320 in Krishnarayapuram union, 270 in Kadavur union and 234 houses in Thogamalai panchayat union, he said after inspecting construction of a group house at Pavithram panchayat in K. Paramathi union on Tuesday.
