7 killed in house collapse incidents

Barabanki: As many as seven people were killed and two injured in several incidents of house collapse in different parts of the district following the incessant rains.

The victims were killed in incidents of house collapse in Salempur, Nainamau and Mittai villages since Monday, reports said adding that two others who sustained serious injuries were hospitalised.

Following incessant rains in the State, Ghaghra has been flowing above the danger mark in Barabanki district and the river water has inundated several villages.

District Magistrate Ravindra Nayak said the administration has taken all precautionary measures to deal with the situation.
