One-man theatre show by K.R. Prakash on July 26 SIRSI: A unique one-man theatre show “Savu Nannadalla” (Death is not mine) will be held at T.S.S. Hall here on July 26 at 6 p.m. It is being held under the auspices of Rangabalaga Mattighatta in collaboration with Kannada and Culture Department, Karwar, Vinayak Seva Trust, Sirsi and Totgars Sales Society (T.S.S.), Sirsi. K.R. Prakash is the playwright, director and actor of the play. He will also double as make-up man, light boy, music composer and singer. “The one-man show is the outcome of my search for novelty in the field of theatre,” he said. Mr. Prakash played 25 roles in “Donkubala,” a play written by Ravindra Bhat and directed by himself. It was staged last May to commemorate his 25th year of his career in theatre. Mr. Prakash has acted in 1,003 plays, directed 142 plays and conducted more than 40 theatre workshops. AwardThe Ranga Balaga Mattighatta instituted the K.R. Praksah Ranga Prashasti in his name, from this year, and it was conferred on theatre personality Nagaraj Kote. Mr. Prakash received the Karnataka Nataka Academy’s Suvarna Karnataka Gourav Prashasti in 2007.
