Western and southern writers’ meet

PANAJI: About 50 writers from eight languages of the western and the southern region will participate in a two-day Western and Southern Writers’ meet to be held here on Saturday and Sunday. The meet is jointly organised by Sahitya Akademi, Delhi and Goa Kala Academy.

Arun Sadhu, writer and journalist, will inaugurate the event. A. Krishna Murthy, Secretary, Sahitya Akademi, will deliver the welcome address while Damodar Mauzo , Konkani writer, will preside over the inaugural session.

Gokuldas Prabhu, Chandrasekhar Kambar, Kethu Viswanatha Reddy, Sridhar K. Bambolkar, Thomas Mathew and Chandrakant Patil will chair various story and poetry reading sessions.
