Thiruvananthapuram: Travancore Titanium blanked St.George FC 4-0 in the Thiruvananthapuram District Super Division football league at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium here on Wednesday. Shahjahan struck a brace (41st & 45th), Johnson (51st) and Dinraj (61st) scored the other goals for Titanium which recorded its third win in the league. St. Mary’s FC defeated Black Arrows 2-0 for its second win in the league. S. Earnest scored both the goals for the winner in the 43rd and 83rd minutes respectively. District junior chessThe Ernakulam District junior chess championship, organised by the Chess Association Ernakulam, will be held at the Minerva Tuition Centre, Kalamassery, on July 26 and 27. Players, registered with the association and born on or after January 1, 1989, are eligible. The top four finishers will represent the district in the State championship which will be held in Palakkad from August 15 to 17.
