COIMBATORE: Good governance should ensure peace and prosperity, Prasanna Venkatachariar Chaturvedi, Managing Trustee of Sri Ramanuja Mission Trust, said. Speaking at a seminar on “Good Governance” organised by the Forum of Scientists Aiming at Peace and Harmony, he said governance involved identifying national resources, distributing them wisely and sustaining them. The resources could be classified into outer and the inner-most. While the raw materials comprised outer resources, the power of intellect was the inner-most resource. He urged the youth of the country to join the movement, “Ritual for Social Renaissance.” A.Kalanidhi former Vice Chancellor of Anna University Chennai, said universities played an important role in shaping individuals. Universities should never give in to political pressures and should retain their sanctity, he said. A book, ‘Sandror Aatchi,’ authored by P.V.Sankareshwaran and translated by R.K.Moorthy, was released by P.Kanagasabhapathy, Director of Tamil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies, Coimbatore.
