Over 20 feared drowned in Kosi

PATNA: Over 20 people were feared drowned in a boat capsize in the turbulent Kosi river near Kanpghat in Purnia district on Wednesday.

The district officials have so far recovered eight bodies and were making efforts to trace others.

At least 17 people were said to have swam to safety when the overcrowded boat was swept away by strong currents.
