ALAPPUZHA: The Alappuzha-Cherthala Coastal Private Bus Employees’ Association is offering scholarships and a year’s free travel to meritorious school students. Six students from schools in Arthunkal, Mararikulam, Pollathai, Kattoor and Thumboli — through where buses in the association ply — who topped this year’s S.S.L.C. examination will be selected for the scholarships, association president P.J. George, vice-president V.J. Johnny and secretary C.T. Binoj told a press conference here on Wednesday.
