Lokayukta to probe revenue land registration

BANGALORE: Revenue Minister G. Karunakar Reddy on Wednesday said that 36 sub-registrars in 27 offices of Bangalore had violated the Government directive to desist from registering revenue properties.

Replying to Bharatiya Janata Party member Vimala Gowda in the Legislative Council, Mr. Reddy said the Government had stopped registration of revenue land. But these officials allowed registration of such land.

The Minister said that the Lokayukta had been asked to inquire into it and submit a report to the State Government.
