Naidu, KCR run into each other in New Delhi
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and his TRS counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao came face to face after a long time at the residence of BSP leader Mayawati here on Wednesday.
Asked to comment about his sharing the dais with his one-time bitter foe, Mr. Naidu said non-NDA parties opposed to the nuclear deal had come together and he did not talk with KCR during the meeting. Asked whether there would be a possibility of TDP and TRS coming together during elections, he quipped: “let us see.”
Special Correspondent from Hyderabad adds: Ms. Mayawati had invited the leaders of Left parties and UNPA for a breakfast meeting. Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao, who is not part of the UNPA, however, made an appearance owing to the support declared by the UP Chief Minister for separate Telangana. It was expected that Mr. Naidu and Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao would discuss about a possible joint action to take on the Congress in the Telangana region. However, Mr. Rao made brief appearance and left the venue.
