Varsity offers elective course

Staff Reporter

TIRUCHI: Bharathidasan University has invited applications from interested postgraduate students of affiliated colleges in the district for the elective course (carrying three credits each) offered on inter-collegiate basis by its various departments.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the Registrar, V. Radhakrishnan, said that colleges should permit students to choose the elective course offered by the university. Students qualifying in these courses would be eligible for extra credits and a separate statement of marks would be issued by the university. The Registrar said that those who had already been awarded the degree could also study the course.

The classes commencing from July 26 would be held on Saturdays from 10.15 a.m. to 1.15 p.m.

The university made available transport facility for students on all Saturdays, the release added.
