Draft list of voters released

NAGAPATTINAM: Draft voters’ list with photos of the electorate for all the six Assembly segments in Nagapattinam district was released on Monday.

It is displayed at the Collector’s office here, all the respective revenue divisional offices, municipalities and taluk offices and also in the designated locations.

M. Jayaraman, Collector, said here on Wednesday that inclusion and deletion of voters could be done within 15 days in the respective taluk or designated locations by submitting the required forms.

The final list of voters’ list with photos in the district will be published on August 31.

The total number of electorate is 9,19,571 (4,60,253 men and 4,59,318 women voters) and the total electorate of the six Assembly segments is:

Sirkazhi – 1,73,547, Poompuhar – 1,89,730, Mayiladuturai, 1,57,897, Nagapattinam, 1,28,556, Kilvelur – 1,29,003 and Vedaranyam – 1,40,838.
