“Chiru inspired by Ambedkar’s philosophy”

HYDERABAD: Film actor Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagendra Babu said that his sibling took a leaf out of B.R. Ambedkar which was an enlightenment to people to work for members of their society.

Mr. Nagendra Babu recalled Ambedkar’s saying that the latter wanted to be awake as his people slept. This was the driving principle behind Chiranjeevi deciding to contribute his mite to the society, he told a meeting as part of a five-day-long interaction with fans and others wanting to join the proposed party of the star.

Wednesday’s meeting was attended by delegates from Prakasam, West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur. All those participating in the meetings were advised to play an active role in the ongoing voter enumeration programme.

He said Chiranjeevi enjoyed fame, wealth and a large fan following. But, he nursed a strong desire to serve the deprived sections. The entry of Chiranjeevi into politics was the call of destiny.
