Youth’s killing: two arrested

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Two persons were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing an unemployed youth.

The accused Mohd. Shafi-ur-Rahman alias Rizwan bore a grudge against the youth Shiva Krishna for allegedly harassing his girlfriend, the police said.

Rizwan and his associate Mohd. Zahir were picked up from a house in Erragadda where they were hiding, Madannapet Inspector K. Ashoka Chakravarthy said. Rizwan, an electrician, was a neighbourhood friend of Krishna, hailing from Doodhbowli of Kamatipura.

Four months ago they had an argument when Rizwan accused Krishna of passing lewd comments on his girlfriend. This created a rift between the two.

“Rizwan maintains that despite his warnings, Krishna continued to harass his girlfriend and hence decided to eliminate him,” the Inspector said.
