Treasury staff stage dharna

Members of the Tamil Nadu Treasuries and Accounts Service Association (TASA) staged a dharna here on Wednesday. Their demands included filling of vacant posts in Treasuries and Accounts Department, creation of higher posts from Additional Treasury Officer level, introduction of pre-audit system in districts and opening of sub-treasuries at taluk-level. K. Dhanasekaran, State secretary, TASA, led the protest. It was inaugurated by R. Tamil Selvi, State vice-president, Tamil Nadu Government Employees’ Association.
