Garbage collection fee fixed

Bangalore: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Tuesday clarified that the garbage collection fee of Rs. 1 a kg has been fixed following the request of representatives of commercial establishments.

BBMP Commissioner S. Subramanya said representatives of Bangalore Hotels’ Association had submitted a memorandum demanding reduction of the fee. He warned commercial establishments against dumping waste on the roadside.
