Bar Association to intensify stir

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The members of the Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association have decided to intensify the ongoing agitation seeking the setting up of a High Court Bench in the capital city. The decision was taken in the wake of the Central government surviving the confidence vote in Parliament on Tuesday. The agitation completed 160 days on Wednesday. A State delegation should meet representatives of the Centre including the President and the Prime Minister in this regard, they said. Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy and Law Minister M. Vijayakumar should be part of the delegation, they said.
