Dalmia Cement first quarter profit dips

CHENNAI: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) has reported a drop in its standalone net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008 to Rs. 50.46 crore from Rs. 81.84 crore in the same quarter last year. Net sales rose by 19 per cent to Rs. 414.59 crore, while total income stood at Rs. 423.04 crore when compared to the same period in the preceding year. — Special Correspondent
