Ramachandra shines

BANGALORE: An all- round performance by Ramachandra (54 and four wickets) helped Carmel High School beat Schoenstaff St. Mary’s High School by 76 runs in the B.T. Ramaiah Shield under-15 cricket tournament here on Thursday.

Harshith slammed an unbeaten 68 and led Cathedral High School to an eight-wicket victory over Max Mueller HS in another match.

The scores: Indiranagar HS 79 in 22.3 overs lost to BET Convent 82 for one in 15 overs (Vyshal 50); Chinmaya Vidyalaya (Kolar) 123 for nine 30 overs (M.R. Sachin 52 n.o.) lost to Vidyaniketan 124 for three in 23.4 overs (Sanath 42); Carmel HS (Basaveshwarnagar) 164 in 29.2 overs (Ramachandra 54, Shahsank four for 22) bt Schoesnstaff St. Mary’s HS 88 in 23.3 overs (Ramachandra four for eight); Max Muller HS 106 in 22.3 overs (Bharghav four for six) lost to Cathedral HS 107 for two in 14 overs (Harshith 68 n.o.); Lilly Rose English School 55 in 14.3 overs lost to Jyothi Kendriya Vidyalaya 57 for one in 9.5 overs; Shantiniketan 83 in 18.1 overs (Ankith 42) lost to BGS International Residential School 84 in 10.5 overs.
