S.A. Rahman quits TDP

VISAKHAPATNAM: Former MLA and former chairman of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA), Shaik Abdul Rahman, has resigned from the Telugu Desam Party.

Conveying this in a letter to the TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday, he said after travelling with the former for 20 long years as a disciplined soldier in the effort to hold aloft NTR’s ideals, the time had come to him to follow his own political destiny in the backdrop of shifting political sands. “With a heart full of fond memories I bid you farewell,” he wrote.
