MALAPPURAM: The Amal College of Advanced Studies at Nilambur will organise a day-long training programme for college teachers on ‘grading at the undergraduate level’ on Saturday. The State Higher Education Council will sponsor the programme aimed at familiarising the teachers with the proposed changes in undergraduate education. M.P. Kannan, member of the State Higher Education Council, will inaugurate the programme in the morning. O.P. Abdurahman, Principal of MES Mampad College will deliver the keynote address on ‘restructuring higher education: issues and problems.’ A. Ashokan from Nehru College, Kanhangad, will present a paper on ‘the methodology of grading at undergraduate level.’ P. Mohammed, Principal of Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, will preside over the session. M. Usman, Principal of Amal College, said that the training programme would be aimed at familiarising the college teachers with the techniques and methodology of grading in undergraduate courses as proposed by the Kerala State Higher Education Council for restructuring undergraduate education.
