Kannada writer Vyasa cremated

KASARAGOD: The body of Kannada fiction writer and poet M. Vyasa who died at his residence at Mannippady, Vidyanagar, here on Wednesday evening was cremated on the premises of his home. He was 67.

He had won the Sreedhara Kakkillaya prize for his contributions to Kannada literature and his poems are a part of the syllabi of Managalore and Kannur Universities. He had published several short stories, collection of poems and literary criticisms in Kannada. He had published a Kannada magazine named Ajantha from here in 1960s. His noted short stories include ‘Kritha’ and ‘Kabani.’ Mr. Vyasa is survived by his wife and three children.
