Partial solar eclipse on August 1

BHUBANESWAR: Orissa will witness a partial solar eclipse on August 1 that would remain in effect for 102 minutes in the afternoon.

According to Indian Meteorological Department center, Bhubaneswar a total eclipse of the sun would occur on August 1 while it would be visible as a partial eclipse throughout India. In general, the total eclipse will be visible in the region covering northern and eastern parts of North America, Greenland, Northern Europe and Asia except Japan, it said.
