Will the skies open up?

Not cricket, not even the trust vote. For most Hyderabadis the animated topic of discussion these days is rains or the lack of it. The extended summer is really what every one is talking about.

The puddles of rain so far has not brought the much needed relief. Only the misery of people has increased with long power cuts and erratic water supplies.

The rising prices of essential commodities has further compounded the problem. Blame it on the scanty rains. In Hyderabad it never rains but pours. Will August open up the skies? The dreaded memories of August 2000 only give the jitters.
