Air Chief Marshal to visit city

CHENNAI: Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal F. H. Major is due to arrive in Chennai for a two-day visit on Friday.
The Air Chief Marshal, who will be accompanied by his wife Zareen Major, will visit the Air Force Station in Tambaram. He will inspect the flying instructors’ school and training institutions at the Air Base.
He will also be the chief guest at the 45th convocation of IIT Madras on Friday. Ms. Major, who is president of the Air Force Wives’ Welfare Association (Central), will survey various ventures of the Association’s Chennai unit and visit Umeed, a school for special children at the Air Base.
