Three arrested for cheating
NEW DELHI: Three persons have been arrested in Rohini here for allegedly posing as bank agents and cheating several people.
The accused -- Vipin, Hazari and Ghanshyam -- would approach people as bank agents with an offer of credit card and loan. They would then take away their credit card on the pretext of verification of documents, the police said. The three were arrested on Wednesday following a complaint by Adarsh Khanna.
Vipin approached Mr. Khanna as a bank agent on June 27 and allegedly made off with his credit card. Vipin made purchases worth Rs.30,000 on his card, the police said. Two computer systems, four mobile phones and four credit cards have allegedly been seized from them.
