Fr. Patrick D’ Cruz

Thiruvananthapuram: Father Patrick D’ Cruz, one of the senior priests of the Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum passed away this afternoon. He was 78. He had served as the vicar at the Anchengo, Pallithura, Valathankara, Mariyapuram, Peringamala, Manivila, Puthiyathura, Keezharoor, Nanthancode, Thoppe, Neerodi, Thoothoor, Karinkulam, Valiathura and Kumarapuram dioceses and as the director-in-charge of construction activities of the archdiocese. Born in Vithura in 1930, Father D’ Cruz completed his training for priesthood from the St. Raphael seminary, Kollam. The mortal remains of the father will be kept at St. Pius X Church, Kumarapuram, on Friday for last rites. It will be interned at Vithura on Saturday.
