BANGALORE: B.R. Patil, former Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council, has been appointed general secretary of the All-India Panchayat Parishad (AIPP). He was appointed by AIPP president and Union Minister of State for Food Processing Subodh Kant Sahay.

Mr. Patil will be in charge of the southern region consisting of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry and Lakshadweep. — Staff Reporter
