HUBLI: Several organisations condemned the serial blasts that occurred in Bangalore on Friday. Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bhajrang Dal and Sriram Sena staged a demonstration at Durgada Bail in Hubli on Friday to condemn the blasts. Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad staged a demonstration in front of Kadasiddeshwara Arts and H.S. Kotambri Science Institute in Hubli on Friday to condemn the blasts. Dharwad unit of the Indian Union Muslim League has condemned the serial blasts. President of the unit Dadapeer M. Koppal has urged the State Government to hand over the case to the CoD. Meanwhile, the Hubli-Dharwad Police have beefed up security in the twin cities. Sniffer dogs were pressed into service at railway stations, bus stands and Hubli airport, and additional forces were deployed in sensitive areas, especially near religious places, on Friday. Police personnel were checking luggage of passengers.
