“3,000 saplings planted”

PUDUCHERRY: Leader of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) in Parliament M. Ramadass said on Friday that the party activists had planted 3,000 saplings in 23 Assembly segments in Puducherry region as part of the celebrations of party founder S. Ramadoss’ birthday.

In a statement here, Mr. Ramadass said free clothes were distributed to 25 women and financial assistance at the rate of Rs. one lakh each was given to three persons belonging to Keezhsathamangalam for constructing houses.
