TENALI: Department of Chemistry of VSR & NVR College of Tenali will be the churning pot for two days by renowned scientists from various research organisations dwelling on the impact of climate change phenomenon on different sectors in the country. In a statement here on Friday, college president Balagangadhar Rao said director of the Centre for Research in Dryland Agriculture B. Venkateswarlu, its former director Y.S. Ramakrishna, BARC scientist G.R. Rama Rao, ISRO-NARL Tirupati scientist M. Rajeevan and NRSA scientist K.V. Ramana would address the students and faculty at the two-day seminar as resource persons. The seminar would be attended by more than 100 delegates from all over the country and local participants would present research papers on several aspects, seminar convener P. Vijayalakshmi said. The autonomous college was doing its best to motivate the students to actively participate in the research oriented study and encouraging them to present papers at several seminars, she said. The college recently got NAAC B++ credits also. Climate change being of current interest some worthwhile discussion was likely to take place, said organising secretary N. Suguna.
