69,948 houses grounded out of 1,02,113 sanctioned 93,000 houses sanctioned in the first phase KADAPA: Collector M.T. Krishna Babu advised special officers to work in tandem with mandal-level officials and expedite the construction of Indiramma houses. Kadapa district topped the State in Indiramma second phase by grounding 69,948 houses (68.5 per cent) out of 1,02,113 houses sanctioned and stood fourth by ensuring construction of 55,643 houses (60 p.c.) up to lintel level out of 93,000 houses sanctioned in Indiramma first phase, he told the Kadapa divisional review meeting here on Friday. Indiramma bridge loan week was being observed and efforts made to get bridge loans sanctioned to beneficiaries, Mr. Krishna Babu said. Stating that bankers were cooperating, he wanted bridge loans disbursed by July 31 and assured steps to mitigate shortage of applications in banks. As possession certificates of house sites were essential in documentation, he asked tahsildars to issue duplicate possession certificates to the needy within two days. Tahsildars would be held responsible if documentation was delayed for want of possession certificates. Special officers should tour mandals every week and show progress as the government took up Indiramma housing prestigiously, the Collector said. He directed DWMA project director B. Anil Kumar Reddy to motivate beneficiaries to construct houses.
