CUTTACK: After staying in the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for over four days, Minu Mishra, the five-year-old girl having an unusual growth of a tumour in her abdomen, was finally shifted to SCB Medical College Hospital here on Friday for surgery. The SCB hospital authorities soon referred the girl to nearby Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Institute to ascertain whether the tumour is benign or not. “We have referred the little girl to the Cancer institute for a check up to ensure that the tumour does not have malignancy”, said the hospital superintendent D.N. Moharana. After getting a report from the Oncology Department of the Institute we would plan for the removal of the tumour accordingly, he added. Meanwhile the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 7,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the treatment of the girl.
