CUTTACK: Tension gripped Ravenshaw University on Friday over passing of lewd comments to some girl students on Thursday. At least two students were injured in group clashes inside the campus. Although, the matter was amicably settled by the University authorities late on Thursday night with the intervention of local police, the situation turned volatile again on Friday when the students had gathered for readmission into the university. Normalcy has been restored in the university campus following deployment of heavy police. “Although, tense, the situation is under control inside the campus”, said the local police inspector P. K. Rath. Sources said no police complaint is filed in this connection and no student is arrested or detained by the police, University sources said.
