Agarwal Mahasabha will provide basic amenities at a cost of Rs. 5 lakhs to each school. VISAKHAPATNAM: Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Meena commended the Agarwal Mahasabha for coming forward to adopt two corporation schools and develop them on the lines of corporate schools. Representatives of the Mahasabha met the Commissioner on Friday and entered into an agreement with the Municipal Corporation to provide basic amenities at a cost of Rs.5 lakhs to each of the two primary schools at Maddilapalem and Nakkavanipalem under the ‘Sweekaram’ scheme. A couple of days ago, Rotary Club has agreed to adopt the MVDM High School and MGM High School and to develop them at a cost of Rs.18 lakhs. Mr. Meena appreciated the donors for coming forward to adopt the schools. He also appealed to industrialists and philanthropists to come forward and adopt other municipal schools. He said that so far 21 schools were adopted under the ‘Sweekaram’ scheme and the development works at eight schools were in various stages of progress. Representatives of Agarwal Mahasabha Chandmal Agarwal, Shiva Kumar Kanodia and Rajeshwar Agarwal were present.
