Minnaminnikoottam Kamal’s new film Minnaminnikoottam takes you through the twists and turns in the lives of a group of young techies — their tiffs, sorrows, petty quarrels and little joys. Eight techies, each with a different temperament. Abhi (Naren) hails from a rich family. He is in love with Charu (Meera Jasmine), from a middle class family. Charu’s ‘stubborn’ attitude often leads to quarrels between the two on tri vial issues. Their differences are sorted out by Siddharth (Indrajith) and his wife, Mumtaz, along with their colleagues Manikunju (Jayasurya), Rose Mary (Roma), Pachan (Anoop Chandran) and Kalyani (Radhika). Siddharth and Mumtaz are an ideal couple who are considerate towards their friends. When Abhi’s parents visit Charu’s house, they learn about her unhappy past. Abhi’s father, an IAS officer (P. Sreekumar), humiliates Charu’s father (Saikumar). Offended, Charu turns them out of the house. Then begins the fire-fighting exercise where the director patches up a close, reconciling one and all. The film has an overdose of sentiments in the second half. The picturisation of the song sequences, more in the format of video albums, is noteworthy. Anil Panachooran’s lyrics are set to music by Biju Bal. Cinematography is by Manoj Pillai. All the actors have put in a good performance. The film also has strong contingent of veterans, including T.G. Ravi, Janardhanan, Mamukkoya andBalachandran Chullikkad. G. Jayakumar
