BANGALORE: Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes has asked the State Government and the people to be vigilant against attempts to plant fresh bombs in the city. Addressing presspersons along with the leader of the opposition in the state Assembly Mallikarjun Kharge, Mr. Fernandes said by being vigilant loss to life and property could be prevented. The two had visited the blast sites. “Yet another bomb has been found today near a mall in Koramangala in the city. The people, the police, intelligence wing and the Government should be ever vigilant as the anti-social elements are still active,” he said. Mr. Fernandes said the Centre (from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund) had announced a compensation of Rs. 1 lakh to the family of woman who had died in the bomb blast. “I have spoken to Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Union Home Minister Shivaraj Patil and they have promised all assistance to restore peace in the state”. Mr. Kharge said he had visited the injured persons in the hospital and all of them were recovering.
