Reduce fridge use: KSEB

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) appealed to the people on Saturday to minimise their use of electricity.

In a release, it said domestic consumers could help the State if they switched off their refrigerators during the peak hours between 6.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Some refrigerators, due to their size and age, would consume as much as 4 units of electricity daily. Also, defrosting could be done by switching off the fridges.
