CHANDIGARH: Haryana Minister of State for Tourism Kiran Choudhry said on Saturday that the historic Yadavindra Gardens at Pinjore had been spruced up for the increased tourist arrivals after the declaration of the Kalka-Shimla hill railway track as a World Heritage Site. Pinjore is located near Kalka. Speaking after inaugurating the Rajhans Convention Centre at Surajkund in Faridabad, she said the Yadavindra Gardens were one of the oldest maintained Mughal Gardens and also a heritage site. The Government was developing Pinjore and the historic Bhima Devi Temple as an integrated tourist spot, she said, adding that a new Institute of Hotel Management had started working in Kurukshetra with financial assistance of Rs.11.44 crore from the Union Ministry of Tourism. Also, the infrastructure of the existing training institutes at Faridabad and Panipat had been upgraded. Ms. Choudhry said that Haryana Tourism was increasingly striving to become a destination for adventure campers and adventure camping sites were being developed at Surajkund, Dharuhera, Hodal, Damdama and Morni.
