Bangalore: D. Raja, MP and Communist Party of India (CPI) national secretary, and Sitaram Yechury, Polit Bureau member of Communist Party of India (Marxist), visited several bomb blast sites in the city on Saturday and asked the State and the Union governments to actively coordinate the probe without preconceived notions. In separate press conferences later, Mr. Raja and Mr. Yechury said this was “not the time for any blame game.” Mr. Yechury warned against making baseless speculations that could “deflect actual investigation.” Asked if the attacks were a result of going “soft on terror,” Mr. Yechury said there was “no such thing as soft-pedalling or hard-pedalling terror.” The attack on Parliament House and the Akshardham incident occurred while a “so-called policy of being hard on terror” was in place. Mr. Yechury emphasised the need to investigate “without prejudicial witch-hunting or communalisation.”
