VISAKHAPATNAM: A professor of Department of Commerce and Management Studies B. Parvateeswara Rao has been appointed Rector or Andhra University and a professor of Computer Science Department of AU College of Engineering P.V.G.D. Prasada as Registrar. The Executive Council which met here under with V-C B. Satyanarayana in the chair, selected the two for the two important posts and also appointed several Deans. The following are the new Deans, Directors and Coordinators: D. Harinarayana-Dean (academic affairs); S.K.V. Suryanarayana Raju-Dean (College Development Council); B. Parvathi-Coordinator-UGC; O.S.R.U. Bhanu Kumar-Dean (students affairs); T.V. Krishna-honorary Director (sanitary and security); G. Gnanamani-Director (press and publications); Viswanadha Reddy-Dean (PG examinations); L.D. Sudhakara Babu (Dean-UG examinations); V. Veerayya-Dean (transport) and V.V. Basava Kumar, Chief of Employment Information and Guidance Bureau. Principal Secretary (higher education) Asutosh Misra; Finance Secretary Ramakrishna; EC Members I. Muralikrishna Rao, B. Ganga Rao, P. Sridevi, S.V.S.S. Ramachandra Raju, Routhu Seetaramaswamy, B. Chandrasekhara Rao and P. Suryanarayana and Registrar P. Vijaya Prakash attended the meeting.
